Using the P&G eStore to Streamline Life

This is a sponsored post, but it gives me a chance to talk about one big change I’ve made as I prepare for the fall semester. I’ve started shopping once a month at the PandG eStore.

The thing is that I love Cascade Dishwasher Detergent. I’ve tried many other brands, but Cascade just works better. No streaks. No spots. No residue. I hate residue of any kind. We’ve had some alternative products in the house when I’ve gone through some different phases, but I go right back to Cascade. Even my husband, who could care less which brand we use, knows to buy only Cascade.

And then PandG came out with Cascade Complete Pacs Dishwasher Detergent - Regular Scent. Have you tried these? Dawn is hands-down my favorite dish soap. It has been since I was 17.

I know exactly what you are thinking. Who finds a fave dish soap at 17? But I used to make a lot of Rice Krispie treats and a friend taught me that if you soak the pot used for melting marshmallows in Dawn and hot water, the stuck marshmallow rinses away.

To make up for the brand-name-costs-more guilt, I started clipping coupons. And then losing them. Or forgetting them. Plus, whenever I’m at the store and I bring out more than 3 coupons, my son has an anxiety attack looking for the cameras. He’s absolutely certain the extreme coupon show is lurking nearby and that would just be so embarrassing he’d have to quit school and live in the basement forever.

Then I discovered something else. I can get my Cascade and Dawn and a bunch of other things I use without having to leave the house. I can order them online through the P&G Online Store. They also let you click a little button and apply the coupons…the same coupons I keep losing.

A recent Carnegie Mellon study found that buying online may actually reduce a person’s carbon footprint, so as I get ready for a busy school year, I’ve completely changed the way I shop by visiting the PandG eStore once a month

In August, PandG is offering some cool deals:
  • 10% off all items now through August 31, 2012
  • Free shipping over $25
  • Lots of great Olympic-themed bundles and deals right now because P&G is a big Olympic sponsor. (Think of all those “Thanks, Mom!” sponsored videos.
